DoubleTree by Hilton Seoul, Pangyo
Located just outside Seoul, Pangyo is often described as Korea’s answer to Silicon Valley, thanks to the many IT and financial companies that have made the area their home.
But there is more to Pangyo than offices and technology companies. As a relatively new city, it has been thoughtfully planned with plenty of parks and green spaces woven into the urban landscape. At its center is a large department store where shopping and dining come together under one roof. Alongside international luxury labels, you’ll find a wide selection of Korean designer brands, making it a worthwhile stop for travelers interested in discovering Korea’s contemporary fashion scene.
Pangyo is also well connected to Seoul. The Shinbundang Line makes it easy to reach Gangnam in under 30 minutes, so it’s a convenient option for anyone looking to experience a different side of the Seoul metropolitan area without traveling too far from the city.
There are several good places to stay in Pangyo, and on this visit, I chose DoubleTree by Hilton Seoul Pangyo.
I stayed in a King Suite, and the experience exceeded my expectations. From the condition and comfort of the room to the thoughtful service throughout my stay, the hotel offered an easy sense of calm — a welcome change of pace from the busier hotels in central Seoul.
As part of the Hilton portfolio, the hotel also participates in Hilton Honors, which was another plus for me. With convenient access to the rest of Pangyo, it proved to be an ideal base for enjoying both the hotel itself and the neighborhood beyond it.
For travelers looking to step away from central Seoul without going too far, a day or two in Pangyo — paired with a stay at DoubleTree by Hilton Seoul Pangyo — offers a refreshing change of pace.
