Shangri-La, Sydney
During this trip to Sydney, I once again chose to stay at Shangri-La Sydney. I had also stayed here during my 2024 visit, and the reason for returning was simple. The location and the view still felt difficult to replace.
Being close to Circular Quay is already a major advantage, but what makes the hotel feel even more special is the atmosphere surrounding it. Stepping outside the hotel naturally leads you toward places like the Museum of Contemporary Art Australia, making the area feel both relaxed and creative at the same time.
As three of us were traveling together, we decided to book a suite for this stay. The room felt far more spacious than expected, and the overall service throughout the trip was consistently comfortable and welcoming.
One of the highlights of the stay was the Horizon Club Lounge located on the 30th floor, which was included as part of the suite package.
The view from the lounge overlooking Sydney Harbour was genuinely unforgettable. Seeing the Sydney Harbour Bridge, Sydney Opera House, and even Luna Park Sydney across North Sydney all at once felt like one of those views that quietly reminds you why people fall in love with the city in the first place.
Especially around sunset, the harbour began to change colours slowly as the city lights turned on one by one. It became one of the moments from the trip that I kept returning to, even after coming back home.
